# Customer Success QBR
A QBR is not a product demo or a support recap. It is a business conversation
that proves the value you delivered, aligns on the customer's goals, and opens
the door to expansion and renewal. Done well it is the single best retention
tool you have.
## Who Should Be in the Room
A QBR with only your champion is a status call. Get the economic buyer and the
executive sponsor present — the people who renew and expand. If you cannot get
them, that absence is itself a churn signal to escalate.
## The QBR Structure
### 1. Recap of Goals (their words)
Open with the objectives the customer set last quarter, in their language.
This reframes the meeting around their success, not your software.
