# Creator Content Calendar
A content calendar is a sustainability tool, not a content idea list. Its job is to prevent decision fatigue, ensure pillar balance, and make consistency achievable at the creator's real energy level. This skill produces a calendar structure, not a filled-in schedule.
## Define Three to Four Content Pillars
Pillars are the recurring content categories the channel is known for. A pillar is not a topic; it is a content type with a predictable format and audience expectation. Examples: Tutorial (how-to, educational), Story (experience, case study), Opinion (take, commentary), and Showcase (product, result, before/after). Every piece of content should map to one pillar. If a channel has more than four pillars, it has no pillars; collapse them.
## Set a Sustainable Cadence
Cadence is set by the creator's consistent floor, not their best-week ceiling. If the creator can produce two pieces per week every week without exception, the cadence is two per week. Common sustainable structures: one long-form per week plus two to three short-form repurposes; one long-form every two weeks with daily short-form; or three mid-form pieces per week with no short-form. The right cadence is the one that survives a bad week.
## Rotate Pillars on a Fixed Schedule
Once pillars and cadence are set, assign pillars to slots. A four-pillar channel publishing twice a week runs a two-week rotation: week one covers pillars one and two; week two covers pillars three and four. This guarantees every pillar gets coverage monthly and removes the "what do I post today" question entirely. Theme weeks (a week dedicated to one topic across all pillars) can be layered on top for seasonal or campaign moments.
## Build a 30-Day Idea Bank
For each pillar, generate eight to ten specific ideas before the calendar goes live. An idea bank removes the blank-page problem and allows batching. Batching (filming or writing multiple pieces in one session) is the primary lever for consistency. A 30-day bank means the creator is never fewer than 30 days behind on ideation.
