# Email Triage
Process, don't browse. Touch each message once and decide its fate.
## The decision rule
For each email, in order:
1. **Delete / archive** — no action, no reference value. Most email is this.
2. **Do now** — if a reply takes under two minutes, send it immediately.
3. **Delegate** — someone else owns it; forward with a clear ask and track it.
4. **Defer** — needs real work; turn it into a task with a next action and a
due date, then archive the email.
5. **Reference** — keep only if you'll genuinely need it; file it.
## Output
When triaging a batch, return:
- **Reply now** — a list with a one-line drafted response each.
- **Delegate** — who, and the forwarded ask.
- **Tasks** — deferred items as next actions with suggested due dates.
- **Archived/deleted** — a count, so the user trusts nothing was lost silently.
